A clear technical package tells a fabricator which spool assemblies to review and under what requirements. Component-level drawings and material information are more useful than a photograph or total pipe length because they make the technical scope explicit before a quotation is prepared.
1. Identify drawings and revisions
Provide a spool or line identifier, current revision and an isometric or fabrication drawing. State whether dimensions use DN or outside diameter. Wall thickness, end preparation, elbows, reducers and connection orientations should be clear within the same drawing package.
2. Match materials and quantities to components
State material grades and any specification references for pipes, flanges and fittings. Avoid combining different materials under one generic description. Match quantities to spool identifiers, identify any customer-supplied material and specify the material documents required.
3. Define inspection and supply boundaries
Dimensional checks, weld inspections and tests should come from the project specification, not the appearance of the component. List coating, polishing, marking, packing, installation and delivery location separately when included in the request. Provide the required date together with the technical approval schedule.
Before sending your package
- Current isometric or fabrication drawings
- Material and quantity list with spool identifiers
- Material grades and customer supply boundaries
- Inspection, testing, finishing and documentation
- Delivery location, required date and approval status
Upload drawings or an order list from the relevant BG Boru product page, then send the files with your contact details from the quote basket. The technical package forms the basis for clarifying work scope and any outstanding questions.
