Weight Calculator
Calculate pipe, bar, flat, plate and profile weights from material, dimensions and quantity.
Sheet / Plate
Enter the dimensions and press Calculate.
Results are theoretical weights. Alloy, tolerances, coatings and actual material density can affect the result.
Calculation Method
Weight (kg) = volume (mm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000,000. Total weight = unit weight × quantity.
Custom calculations use ideal geometry. Hollow sections use sharp corners; an entered root radius adds only the inside fillets in open profiles. Standard profiles use the manufacturer’s tabulated weight.
Densities & Sources
The material list and starting densities follow the reference calculator. Adjust the values for your actual material grade. Nickel has been corrected from 1.74 to 8.90 g/cm³ using RSC data.
Table weights use a density of 7.85 g/cm³. Weights are scaled proportionally when a different density is selected.
